Benefits & Club Meetings

Central Virginia Trail Riders was formed for the purpose of promoting responsible off-road motorcycling and improving the image of motorcycling as a sport and family recreational activity. The club is a non profit, tax exempt club.

The biggest benefit is having your own place to ride 365 days of the year! We have a large motocross track, a kids motocross track and numerous trails throughout the 100 acres of club land.

Club members also receive discounts (10%) at Cycle Concepts.

We promote a Virginia Championship Hare Scramble (VCHSS) race in the spring at Actiontown in Dilwyn.

There are various gatherings throughout the year with a big Christmas party every year.

The club holds meetings on the 1st Tuesday of every month at Sal's Italian Pizza Restaurant, 7116 Hull St Rd Ste 360, Richmond, VA 23235-5802, 804.276.3753. The meeting time is 7:30pm and anyone is welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Glenmore Land

Our trees are growing and new trail has been cut, we now have approximately seven miles of it...life is good! The motocross track is holding up well, thanks to weekly grooming by several dedicated clubmembers. The kids track is loads of fun as well! There is a new "enduro class" trail cut into the existing trail system, that has log crossings, rock gardens and other obstacles to test your mettle, but be warned, it's tough, so you ride at your own risk. It's marked with a right turn arrow on the fireroad where the new trail has been cut. So unless you KNOW it's there, you probably don't know it's there. A really nice new section has been cut to eliminate most of the fire road that splits the property. It's fun and twisty. We now have a continuous loop that ties every part of the trails on the property together (at last!! Thanks Berrrt!!!)We built an awsome new bridge too!

Remember, the responsibility is on all of us as members of the club to make sure we abide by our club bylaws. Not doing so sets a bad example to other members and reflects poorly on our image to the public at large. It is also everyone's responsibility to keep the place clean and help out on the trails and track. If you ride on it, please take the time to do a little work to keep it in the best shape possible for everyone to enjoy.

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to fulfil your work day requirements in the coming months as there is major trail work to be done, as well as work on the shelter and the fencing.

The club land at Glenmore will now be closed on all work days and race days.
